I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
