Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Russian forces has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles targeted the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Regional authorities said the city came under heavy assaults overnight. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes come after periods of air raids in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
